About this Product

Add a touch of personalized charm to your home with this beautifully crafted "Welcome to our Home" sign. Constructed from a single piece of solid oak, this sign showcases the natural beauty of the wood with its distinct grain patterns. The lettering is meticulously carved, creating a dimensional look, and then painted in a bold black for easy readability. A smooth satin clear coat not only enhances the wood's luster but also provides long-lasting protection against the elements. The standout feature is the interchangeable "o" in "home," allowing you to swap it out with a variety of ornaments (sold separately) to celebrate different seasons and holidays. This versatile sign measures 25.5 inches wide and 10.5 inches tall, making it a perfect size for displaying on a porch, entryway, or above a fireplace.

Meet the Maker

Hi Jack Hardwood Creations LLC

I had a well paying full time job as a team leader of 33 team members. I worked my way up through skills on the manufacturing floor for 24 years before I became team leader and had a lot of responsibility at the mill. For 29 years I worked swing shift, 12 hr days/nights, 14 days a month, 365 days a year, we didn't shut down except for maintenance. Needless to say, I had what seemed like a lot of days off, which I did, but the turnaround from nights to days and vice versa was taking it toll.

In those 29 yrs, I built 6 houses myself. I always liked using my hands to create things and see those things come to life. I like to see progress and watch things change that you put the work into yourself. My dad was a woodworker when I was growing up and I always enjoyed doing that, but got away from it when I got older. I am a diyer at heart and enjoy doing or trying to do things I haven't done before. That's how I got back into woodworking.

My wife and I had talked about quitting my job, so I could be present more often, for a couple months in the winter of 2023-24, but I couldn't bring myself to actually put in a notice that I am quitting my job that I had for 29 yrs! Finally the day came that I actually did, best feeling ever! Jun 1 2024 was my first day off, and I haven't looked back. It's not always easy, but I wouldn't change a thing!
